*Looking for someone to move on 7 June*
Hiya,
I'm leaving the country next month and looking for someone to take on my lovely double room in Streatham Hill. It's an absolute steal - huge house, garden, dishwasher etc!
The house has really friendly vibes and I've loved being here. You'll be living with Carl, Ella, Zoe and Dan - all professionals who like a drink and a chat and so someone sociable who is up for drinks and a natter is preferred.
About the house:
We’re a stones throw away from Tooting Common on a really quiet residential street. We’re a 10 minute walk to Streatham Hill station, 20min walk to Streatham overground, and a 20 minute walk to Balham. There’s a stupid amount of busses just at the top of our road taking you anywhere from south London into central… As well as a Nando’s, loads of Gyms, an Ice Rink, KFC, Greggs, Pubs you name it!
The place is a really big Edwardian house with a large kitchen (with a lovely breakfast nook), a cosy living room with a nice TV, 1 upstairs bathroom+shower, 1 downstairs toilet and utility room, a front room currently used for bikes and general storage, and a back yard deck area that overlooks a lovely green space. We also have more basement storage space too!
There’s also a washing machine and a dishwasher, a large fridge, two freezers and a really nice rangemaster oven.
So, if you are a young(ish!) professional looking for a great room in a really nice friendly house, please send us a little bit about yourself so we can gauge if you'd be a good fit. We are looking to start viewings ASAP

Frequently Asked Questions
Use the message button on the listing to introduce yourself to the room lister. Free users can send a limited number of messages per month. With Plus or Pro you can message any listing without limits and respond to new rooms first thanks to Early Bird access.
A good first message says who you are, when you want to move in, how long you plan to stay, and one or two things about your lifestyle that match the listing.
Look for the Verified badge on the profile — it means the room lister has completed identity verification. Read the full listing, check the lifestyle preferences on each existing flatmate's profile, and review the photos of the room and shared spaces.
Always arrange a viewing in person or by video call before sending any money, and never pay a deposit or holding fee before you have signed a tenancy agreement.
Yes — we strongly recommend it. Ask the room lister for a viewing in person, or for a live video tour if you are out of town. Use the viewing to meet the existing flatmates and ask about bills, house rules, and the rest of the household. A genuine room lister will always offer some form of viewing.
The listing shows the monthly rent and whether bills are included. Where bills are included, this usually covers utilities and internet — confirm with the room lister exactly what is and is not included, and whether there is a deposit, a holding fee, or any agency fees on top.
You and the room lister agree on a move-in date and sign a tenancy agreement directly, the same way you would on any other room-share platform. Dwelles is a marketplace that connects you — the contract, deposit protection, and reference checks remain between you and the room lister.
If anything looks suspicious, report the listing and stop communicating. In the UK you can also report scams to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk.
